Emergency Medical Services (EMS)
The Buffalo Township Supervisors have designated Freeport EMS and Saxonburg EMS as the Emergency Medical Service providers for Buffalo Township. Both services work together to provide emergency service for residents of Buffalo Township through Butler County 911.

Freeport EMS
Freeport EMS is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Health as an Advanced Life Support Ambulance and has two ALS ambulances available to serve the residents of Buffalo Township. Organized in 1941, Freeport EMS continues to innovate with the latest technology to assure that Paramedics are available to serve the residents of Freeport and surrounding communities.

Saxonburg EMS
Saxonburg’s Ambulance responds to approximately 2500 emergency medical calls annually. They cover approximately 75 square miles in Jefferson Township, Clinton Township, Winfield Township, Buffalo Township, and Saxonburg Borough. They operate three, fully-equipped Advanced Life Support ambulances and offer mutual aid assistance to the areas of Northern Allegheny County and southern Butler County.
